TIDIOUTE, Pa. — James W. Meivogel, age 52, of Tidioute, Pa., went to be with his Lord, on April 26, 2008, at his mother’s home, in Trumbull Twp., with his loving family by his side.
Born in Geneva, Ohio, on Aug. 13, 1955, he was the son of Laverne (Willis) and the late John Meivogel, and was a graduate of Madison High School, in 1975.
James was employed with OZ Gas of Tidioute and had previously worked for T. W. Benson Trucking in Ashtabula, Ohio.
He enjoyed being with his family, NASCAR racing, and spending time at his home in Tidioute.
Survivors include his wife, Belinda (Murphy) Meivogel of Tidioute, Pa., who he married on Nov. 29, 1975; a son, James II (Jamie); a daughter, Trisha; and a granddaughter, Haley, all of Geneva; his mother, Laverne of Trumbull Twp; a sister, Debra of Illinois; a special uncle, Blair Willis of Tidioute, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John, in 2003, and two brothers.
A Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Church of the Living God, 1030 Bunker Hill Road, Ashtabula, Ohio, with the Rev. Robert Falke officiating.
WALKER FUNERAL HOME of Geneva, Ohio, is in charge of the arrangements.
