New Albany took home an opening round win over Washinton Courthouse 6-1 after taking a 6-0 lead in the early going.
New Albany threw up three runs in the first to things and added two more runs in the bottom half of the third and a final insurance run in the fourth.
Nick Shroyer faced 13 batters and recorded 13 outs to get the win, striking out six.
Derek Hall provided the only run, and only hit, for Washington Courthouse with a homer.

Wheelersburg 5, Avon 3
Wheelersburg overcame an early defecit with a three-run third inning then staved off an Avon rally with two more runs in the bottom of the fourth to score an opening round victory, 5-3.
Avon took an early 1-0 lead by scoring in the first, but Wheelersburg came back with five in the third and fourth innings which proved the difference despite a two-run fourth inning by Avon.
Athan Temponares scored the win for Wheelersburg, throwing five inning, fanning 11 and allowing two runs on six hits.
Cam Carrandang had a homer for Avon.
Trey Carter had a double for Wheelersburg while Gage Salyers, Temponares and Dustin Darnell each had two hits in the win.
Dover Grey 9, Bellvue 4
An early six-run lead launched Dover Grey to a 9-4 opening round win over Bellvue.
Jeremy Salvo got the win in throwing four innings pitched, striking out four and giving up two runs on four hits.
Dover got home runs from Ethan Snyder, Alex Sayre and Salvo while Ian Sexton, Ethan Snyder, Brendan Miller and Jack Murphy doubled in the win.
Gavin Starling and Bryce McMurray each homered for Bellvue.
