n PERRY at MADISON — By popular demand (Peary’s demand), the battle for the Little Brown Jug is back. No one knows where the little brown jug resides these days, but a bigger mystery to me is the contents of the jug. Does it hold moonshine? in that case, it’s well worth fighting over. Matt Rosewater and the Pyrites have yet to be challenged in their bouts against Riverslide and Chefferson. Tim (Whatchatalkinbout) Willis and the Boo Shrieks rebounded from a first-week loss to a one-sided victory over Grapeland last week. Despite being ahead by four touchdowns, Willis left his regulars in the whlole game to get them in better condition to play a full game against the Twin Towers. I must admit, I haven’t heard that one before. PERRY KNIVES 35, MAD-AS-A-SON 28.
n RIVERSIDE at HARVEY — This Battle of Pains-filled hasn’t been much of a skirmish lately, with the Slide’s Beavers dominating the rivalry. Pains-filled Township has had Pains-Filled City’s number for more than a decade, but there appears to be a crack in the Beavers’ armor these days after Peary and West Gee-Awful dominated them. Devin Gulliver and his Harvey Lilliuputians found the Wicked Stiffs easy pickings, but then, so did Grapeton. One thing is certain: Wrecked Creation Park will be rocking Friday night. I’ve never seen the place filled, but this could be the week. SLIDE 20, HARVE 14.
