A strong showing in singles matches carried the Jefferson Falcons past Edgewood, 4-1, Wednesday at Edgewood.
Chelsea Jarrell and Kelly Tisch each lost just two games, while claiming wins at first and second singles.
Jarrell took down Rene Mattson, 6-0, 6-2, in a first singles match, and Tisch defeated Connie Tate, 6-0, 6-2.
Courtney Painter finished off Jefferson’s sweep of the singles matches with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Mindy Baker.
The tandem of Lizz Walker and Lindsey Robertson provided the Warriors with their lone win of the afternoon, taking their first-doubles match from Jenny Piscsalko and Carey Hartman, 6-4, 6-3.
Emily Jeppeson and Kirsten Signor provided Jefferson with a second-doubles win over Jennifer Meranda and Paige Schlick, 6-1, 6-0.
n Lakeside 3, Madison 1 — After her first set went to the wire, Erika Ginn cruised in the second set at first singles and Lakeside cruised to a 3-1 victory in a rain-shortened match against Madison.
Ginn needed 12 games to finally topple Shannon Timperio in the first set, 7-5, before taking command of the second set with a 6-1 win.
Megan Reichart defeated Hannah Reynolds at third singles, 6-3, 7-5 and the duo of Shelby DeCamillo and Taylor Palmer defeated Liz Elmore and Erin Miller, 6-4, 6-2 for Lakeside’s other wins.
Lillian Zolar, playing at second singles, defeated Marissa Dioneff, 6-1, 6-3, for Madison’s lone win.
The first-doubles match between Lakeside’s Lisa Roan and Sam Reho were at 7-6 (10-8), 4-5 with Madison’s Ashley Palmer and Allison Misich when play was suspended due to rain.
n Geneva 5, Conneaut 0 — The Eagles won all five matches in straight sets to improve to 5-1, 4-0 in NEC. The Spartans fell to 1-2, 1-1.

n Northeast (Pa.) 233, Lakeside 253 — Kelly Moylan was the only person to break par, shooting a 1-under 34 to lead Northeast past Lakeside in a match where the team’s top five golfers scored points.
