— Mighty Mick Zigmund mashed a gamewinning homer in the bottom of the seventh to catapult the CBC Construction Legends to a thrilling 11-10 triumph over Shannon Fence in the Lake County Over-50 Softball League.
Zigmund (2 hits), Chuck Goerndt (2 hits, 3 RBI, homer), Mike Mauro (2 hits, homer) and Chris Toreki (3 hits, 2 runs) led the way at the plate for the Legends.
Mark Vidmar (3 hits, 2 runs), Jim Davidson (2 hits) and Dan Minjares (2 hits, 2 runs) paced Shannon Fence.

n JCI 18, Wildside 4 — Jimmy Dennis (3 hits, 2 RBI), Mike Crenshaw (4 hits, 3 RBI), Ryan Marcy (2 hits), Mike Johnson (3 hits, 4 RBI, homer), Jared Sack (2 hits, 3 RBI) and Kyle McGirr (2 hits, 3 RBI, homer) led the way at the plate for the winners (8-2). Richie Meade (2 hits) and Rob Summerville (2 RBI) did so for Wildside (3-6).
