Slowpitch Roundup: CBC Legends slug their way to victory

— CBC Legends used their big bats to bash their way to a 17-16 victory against Lake Truck in Lake County Over-50 Softball League action.
Bob Sheplavy (3 hits, 4 RBI, 2 HR), Dashin’ Doug Hladek (3 hits), Joe Marte (4 hits, 2 RBI, 2 HR) and Mike Mauro (3 hits, 3 RBI) all had excellent efforts at the plate for the Legends.
Phil King (2 hits, 3 RBI, 2 HR), Paul Washlock (4 hits) and Gary Wheeler (3 hits, 3 RBI, 1 HR) were the top hitters for Lake Truck.

Mike Johnson of JCI had two home runs and five RBI amoung his four hits as JCI topped Los Compadres, 20-5.
Kyle Mcgirr also had four hits for the team. Mike Crenshaw, Jared Sack, Charlie “Super Slugger” Borsukoff, and Kennedy all had three hits for the team. Sach add three RBI and Crenshaw added two.
