Sandlot Roundup: Cochran, Gehring, Peggs combine to mine a gem

Aryn Cochran, Taylor Gehring, and Madalyn Peggs combined pitched a no hitter for the first three innings pitched for Union Industrial Cubs 25-4 win over Huntington Insurance Reds during Minor League softball action Tuesday night.
Cochran went 3-3 with two RBI and four runs for the Cubs. Nicole Adams added a triple with three RBI at the plate. Paden Cochran and Gehring both had two runs. Matea Kanicki had three runs scored and Peggs had two.
n Ashtabula Reds 11, Kingsville Warriors 5 — Isabella Gonzalez was the winning pitcher with seven strikeouts in five innings pitched.
Brittany Mascik led the Reds at the plate with three hits, three RBI and two runs. Emily DeGeorge and Makenna Condon both added two hits for the team.

Junior SB
Tayler Kantola was the winning pitcher for Conneaut with 10 strikeouts for the 11-1 win over Kingsville.
Angie Zappitelli led Conneaut at the plate with three doubles and four RBI. Kantola and Rebecca Tisdale both added two hits for the team.
Keegan McTrusty had five strikeouts on the mound for Kingsville.
Abbie Pisano of Kingsville had two hits at the plate.
n Ashtabula Team No. 1 10, Geneva Team No. 2 1 — Bree Leonard was the winning pitcher with 11 strikeouts and only allowing one walk.
Shelby Smith led Ashtabula at the plate with two singles, a triple and two RBI. Leonard had a double, single and two RBI at the plate. Both Betsy Slebodnick and Brianna Kingston had three singles. Laura Cray added a double for the team.
Kristen Schupska of Geneva had eight strikeouts on the mound.
Kylee Kaplan and Daniele Branch had the two hits for Geneva.

Senior BB
Jason Lucas with the relief of Nolan Potts both combined allowed six runs, five hits, with five strikeouts and eight walks for the Ashtabula Reds 17-6 victory over Kingsville.
Sam Izzi went 3-4 at the plate for the Reds with two RBI. Brandon Burns and Mikal Parsons both had two hits. Brent Osten added three RBI for the team.

Minor BB
Josh Gibson of the Yankees pitched a complete game only allowing two hits for the 12-2 win over the Orioles.
Gibson led the Yankees at the plate with three hits and four runs. Josh Hudson added a triple and four runs. James Bish had two runs scored for his team.
Michael Palm of the Orioles had a double and scored one of their two runs.

Major BB
Mitch Dragon led the Phillies at the plate with three singles, two RBI and two runs scored for the 10-3 victory over the Tigers.
Mason Lilja added two singles and two runs for the Phillies.
Matt DiDonato had three strikeouts in two innings pitched. Lilja added three strikeouts in three innings pitched and Jordan Lopez had two in his one inning pitched.
Zach Taylor of the Tigers had a double and Matthew Rocco had two singles for the team.
n Indians 12, Angels 2 — Jordan Isenberg was the leading hitter for the Indians with three hits, three runs and four RBI.
Kramer Getce added a double and three runs for the Indians. While Vince Smith, Noah Sams, Reggie Sams, and Zach Schlosser all had two hits at the plate. Dave Rose had a triple and Garrett Vaught had two RBI at the plate.
n ReNew Plastics Indians 20, Koski Construction Yankees 8 — Tyler Vines was the winning pitcher of the game with three strikeouts.
Mikey Zullo (2 hits, 2 runs), Nick Brady (3 hits, 2 runs), Vines (3 doubles, 1 single, 3 runs), Frank Pecarsik (4 hits, 3 runs), Trevor Truesdell (2 hits, 2 runs), Joey Hassett (double), Nick Martin (homer, single, 2 runs), Peter Sigafoose (2 runs), and Sammy Pecarsik (2 doubles, 3 runs) all had big days at the plate for the Indians.
Austin Dodge led the Yankees with two singles and two runs. Aaron Talmo added two runs.
n Wychock Physical Therapy Athletics 20, Loudermilk Tractor Marlins 10 — Julian Echeverria led the Athletics at the plate with a triple, two doubles and five RBI. Juan Rodriquez followed with three singles and three RBI. Modesto LeBron added two singles with tree RBI. Jordan Palinkas had a double for the team. Both Kody Brown and Logan Sullivan had two RBI and Sean Prine had three RBI.
Jake Perry was the leading hitter for the Marlins with a home run and three RBI. Seth Bryant, Josh Hotz, and Chris Otto all had two RBI. Otto also had a double.

Major SB
Andrea Davis fanned nine and allowed a single hit to lead the Java Net Cafe Angels past the Andover Bank Reds, 13-1.
Tori Hunt smashed three hits, including a homer while driving in four, Josie Foster singled four times and Davis singled three times for the Reds. Andrea Fawcett had two hits and drove in two and Noel Armstrong singled.
