Bree Leonard and Tori Ernst combined to strike out 10 and permitted just four hits to lead Ashtabula No. 2 past Conneaut, 5-4, in junior league softball action Thursday.
Koree Runyon and Megan Reichert led the offense with two hits, including a double each. Betsy Slebodnick doubled and Cassandra Cunningham, Naomi Griggs, Paige Upole and Leonard each added hits. Katie Sackett had two hits for Conneaut and Tiffany Wick doubled.

Erica Jackson struck out 11 to lead the Geneva Wild Cats past Madison, 17-6. Chelsea Scafuro ripped three hits, including a double, and drove in five runs. Kayla Kamppi had three hits, including a double, and three RBI, while Sydney Fuller drove in two runs. Abbie Thompson struck out nine for Madison, while Bethany Hess smacked a double and scored twice.

Erika van’tVeer and Chantelle Lucus each ripped two hits, including a double, to lead the Ashtabula Marlins past the Ashtabula Indians, 13-5. Madeline Martino added two hits, while Kaylee Severino, Jordan Scott, Maddie Kochevar, Isabella DeCamillo and Giana Varchetto each added hits. Kasey Hague struck out seven and Martino struck out five. Jana Burke had two singles to lead the Indians, while Aaliyah Hunt and Toni Stranman each had hits.
n Conneaut Red Sox 13, Kingsville Diamondbacks 12 — Brandy Bowers blasted a triple, a double and drove in three runs to lead the Red Sox, while Emily Lower added two hits and two runs scored. Alyx Ruffo had two hits, two RBI and two runs. Payton Hanas tripled, drove in three runs and scored twice. Cheryl Pongrass doubled and drove in two runs, while Taylor Cartner had two RBI and two runs scored. Morgan Mitcham had two hits and three runs to lead the Diamondbacks and Mya Surbella scored three runs.
n Conneaut Pirates 19, Geneva Indians 9 — Jessica Volkman and Angie Slapnicker each smacked three hits to lead the Pirates, while Tatum Sanford and Tehya Higly each had three hits. Briana Oatman smacked a double and drove in three runs, while Sam Clark added two RBI. Brooke Furmage and Megan Pitcher each had three hits to lead the Indians and Sara Juncker had two hits.

Matt Kozlowski smacked two hits and drove in five runs to lead the Wychock Physical Therapy Athletics past the ReNew Plastic Indians, 13-2. Anthony Platt added two hits and Modesto Lebron drove in two runs. Tyler Vines had two hits to lead the Indians and Frank Pecarsik drove in two runs.
n Red Sox 11, Yankees 2 — Tony Magda smacked four hits, including a homer, and two doubles to lead the Red Sox, while Jared Parsons had three hits. Ryan Wolford ripped two doubles and drove in two runs and Ian Barrett had two hits. Eric Nater had two hits for the Yankees.
n PlastPro Orioles 19, ReNew Plastics Indians 18 — Nick Coach ripped three hits and drove in two runs to lead the Orioles, while Tyler Adams had three hits. Kyler McEndree added two hits and two RBI. Caleb Frasure doubled and drove in two runs. PJ Hall had three home runs and drove in five runs to lead the Indians.

Seth Bixel blasted two hits and drove in two runs to lead the Grand Valley Mustangs past the Kenston Bombers, 4-3. Joey Satterfield added two hits, including a double.
Senior SB
Stephanie Davis and Hannah Kinney combined to strike out 16 to lead the Ryber Development Royals past the Ashtabula Iron and Metal Indians, 12-11. Lyndsey Armstrong, Rachael Coutts and Kinney each had two hits, including a double, and combined for six RBI, while Megan Palm added two hits. Becky Kenyon had three hits, including a triple and double, and drove in three runs to lead the Indians and Natasha Fetters had two hits and two RBI.

Joey Burt struck out 14 to lead the Conneaut Red Sox past the Conneaut Orioles, 7-5. Kris Hass smacked two hits, including a triple, and scored twice. Kaleb Giles added a hit and Mitchell Williams scored twice. Isaiah Ngirainas tripled for the Orioles and Alex Talor, A.J. Bailey and Ethan Parker each added a hit and an RBI.
Junior BB
Dakota Brininger and Matt Hallgren each ripped two hits to lead the Geneva Indians past the Ashtabula Yankees, 14-7. Gabe McLeod and Brininger each scored three times. Kyle Brass and Dylan Foust each scored twice.
