Edgewood scored all its runs in the first three innings, then held on for dear life and earned a 6-5 non-conference victory Saturday at Perry.
Michael Schupska doubled twice and drove in two runs in support of the eight-hit pitching of Brian Joslin, who earned the win for Edgewood (14-7, 4-6 Northeastern Conference), and Jered Rich, who got a save. Andrew Showalter also had two hits for the Warriors, while Marc Bartone and Greg Motter each drove in two runs and Jesse Long scored twice.
They offset a pair of solo home runs by Rich Zalenka for Perry (12-11, 5-3 Chagrin Valley Conference Chagrin Division), two hits and two runs by Tyler Wiersma and two hits by Mike Hanhauser.
n Euclid 5, Riverside 0 — The Beavers were held to just five hits by the Panthers. Andrew Brown had two hits, including a double, for Riverside (12-8, 8-1 Premier Athletic Conference).
