Trailing 1-0 after three innings, Riverside came up with all its runs over the next three innings, including four in the sixth, to defeat archrival Madison on Friday in Premier Athletic Conference action.
Nick Walters went the distance for Riverside (12-7, 8-1), scattering eight hits, striking out eight and walking one and helping himself with two hits, including a double. Justin Nockengust homered among two hits and scored twice, catcher Kyle Shaffer had two hits and drove in three runs, Mike Rossi tripled among two hits and Andrew Brown scored twice for the Beavers. Brad Morrison doubled for Madison (8-12, 4-6).
n Chardon 5, Lakeside 4 — The Dragons rallied to tie the game at four in the fifth inning, but the Hilltoppers scored the decisive run in the sixth. That negated a nine-hit, three-strikeout, one walk performance by Nick Traikoff. Andy DeDomenic led Lakeside (3-17, 0-9) with three hits, including a double, and two RBI, while Max McConnell also had two hits.

Cornerstone Christian scored two runs in each of the first three innings to defeat SS. John and Paul, 9-4. Ryan Colby went the distance for the Heralds (5-7), surrendering 10 hits while striking out three and walking six. Alex Izzi led the offense for SJP with two hits and three RBI, while Jake Phelps and Don Woodward each added two hits.

n Perry 6, Geneva 5 — The Pirates took the seesaw battle in the first game of a doubleheader with a run in the bottom of the seventh to make Kevin Siegel a winner. Bobby Jewell doubled and drove in two runs for Geneva, while Jake Depp also doubled.
n Geneva 4, Perry 1 — The Eagles came back to win the second game as Brian Fink and Darius Rowan combined on a three-hitter and Geneva (11-11) made the most of five hits by scoring three runs in the sixth.
n Canfield 10, Jefferson 0 — The Falcons were limited to just two hits in the first game of the doubleheader. Dustin Volanski and Andy Saksa had the only hits for Jefferson.
n Canfield 5, Jefferson 4 — Two earned runs in the midst of a three-run sixth gave Canfield (22-2) a sweep of the doubleheader. Saksa had two hits, including a triple, and drove in three runs for Jefferson (17-4, 8-1 Northeastern Conference), while Volanski scored twice and Ryan Morford belted a triple.
n PV 12, Ledgemont 3 — The Lakers scored in all but two innings and put together a 13-hit attack in support of Jon York, who went the distance, striking out seven and walking five. Bryan Easton had two hits, including a double, two runs and two RBI, Mac Thurber contributed two hits and three RBI, Travis Kume and Mike Magyar added two hits and two runs each, Kyle Kiser had two hits and Drew Skleres drove in three runs.
n Ledgemont 3, PV 2 — The Redskins overcame the four-hit pitching of Brandon Easton to win the nightcap. Mitch Berrier had two of the six hits for PV (14-11).
