A promise to drive safely could bring Conneaut High School money and possibly a concert by Grammy award-winning singer Kelly Clarkson.
Through Saturday, the school is soliciting safe-driving commitments from as many people as possible to qualify for prizes, according to a statement from Chris Brecht, State Farm Insurance agent.
Anyone age 14 and older are free to go online and make a commitment once and day every day while the contest runs, Brecht said in the release. The number of pledges receives improves the school’s chances of winning $100,000 and a concert by Clarkson, according to the statement. The top 50 schools will win at least $25,000.
The event is part of the Celebrate My Drive program, aimed at teaching teens new to driving good habits while behind the wheel. Visit www.celebratemydrive.com to make a daily commitment.
