Murder Mystery Dinner Theater comes to the Ashtabula Arts Center

ASHTABULA —  “This Convention is Murder” by Madison resident Clay Nielsen will be the show taking place during the Ashtabula Arts Center’s first Murder Mystery Dinner on Oct. 25 and 26 at 7 p.m.

Put a bunch of inept super villains together for their yearly convention in Ashtabula and what do you get? Why murder, of course! Murder most hilarious! Since this group of nefarious supervillans are much more adept at committing crimes than solving them, the no-good conventioneers are forced to bring in one of their arch enemies, super hero Sheriff's Deputy Man, to help solve the case! Join Sheriff's Deputy Man in his quest to sort through the cast of disreputable characters to find the one who truly committed murder in this audience-interactive murder mystery and dinner theater.

“This is a new type of production for us,” says Theater/Music Coordinator Kimberly Godfrey. “The audience will be seated in our gallery where dinner will be served as the show goes on around them. Guests will be encouraged to pick up on clues and take a guess at who they believe the murderer to be."

The menu for the evening includes fall minestrone soup, salad and rolls, boneless beef short ribs, parsnip purée, butternut squash, apple caramel cake and assorted beverages. The evening’s chef will be Mary Ann Kline of Kingsville.

Tickets are $35 per person and can be purchased by calling the Arts Center at (440) 964-3396. Tickets must be purchased by Oct. 23 at noon.
