MONROE TOWNSHIP —
The Chardon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash in which a motorcyclist was killed Thursday.
Bryce Riha, 44, of Munson Township, was riding southbound shortly after 4 p.m. on Bass Lake Road when a 1998 Ford Crown Victoria heading south failed to yield during a left turn, according to OHP reports.
Riha’s Honda motorcycle hit the Ford, driven by Neil J. Conway, 63, of Concord. Riha was ejected from the motorcycle and he was not wearing a helmet, OHP reports show.
Conway continued turning into the parking lot, the OHP report said.
Riha was transported to Geauga County Hospital where he died from his injuries.
Conway was not injured.
Alcohol or speed are not factors in this crash, OHP reports show.
The crash remains under investigation.
