Commissioners honor retiring ACDJFS employees

JEFFERSON — Ashtabula County Commissioners honored three employees with proclamations last week in recognition of their retirement.

Patty Schilling, Marie Aurthur and Diane Hofius all recently retired from the Ashtabula County Department of Job and Family Services.

Schilling has been a member of the ACDJFS staff since January of 1983. She retired on June 28.

Aurther began working for the ACDJFS in December of 1988. She retired from her position on June 28 as well.

Hofius has been employed with the ACDJFS since March of 1993. She also retired on June 28.

Each employee received a proclamation, signed by the three commissioners, stating how fortunate Ashtabula County is to have these women as employees.

Schilling was in attendance at the commissioners meeting last week to receive her proclamation. ACDJFS Executive Director Patrick Arcaro said he was sad to see Schilling go.“She was one of our better employees all the way around,” he said.

The commissioners also presented Arcaro and Dave Fish, of ACDJFS, with a proclamation in recognition of Child Support Awareness Month, which took place in August.
