Commissioners approve contracts

JEFFERSON — Ashtabula County Commissioners approved a resolution, Tuesday, authorizing an agreement with BIS Digital Inc. for digital recording and video system support for Ashtabula County Common Pleas Court.

The contract amount is not to exceed $3,586 and is retroactive to Aug. 10 and will continue through Aug. 9, 2014.

Commissioners also approved an agreement with Micrographic Technology Services, Inc. for microfilm services for Western County Court. The cost is not to exceed $45,500 and the contract will terminate in three years with a one-year renewal option.

In other business, Commissioners approved:

n A resolution authorizing the filing of an application with County Risk Sharing Authority (CORSA) for property and liability insurance for the county; and,

n A resolution approving the replat of sublots in the Stonegate subdivision in Saybrook Township.

Commissioners also approved a number of financial transactions for the county including additional appropriations of $42,166 for Common Pleas Court Special Projects for grant expenses; additional appropriations of $1,300 for the 503 corporation for administrative expenses; $45,000 in additional appropriations for the public defender fund for legal fees and transcripts; an appropriation of $2,000 for equipment for special probation for Common Pleas Court; additional appropriations of $93,000 for a project through the Ashtabula County Engineer’s Office; and, a $20,000 appropriation for capital improvements for the Ashtabula County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
