— Geneva area organizations will offer some “egg-cellent” fun next week with Easter Bunny egg hunts and pancake breakfasts.

The Harpersfield Township Ruritans spend several hours filling more than a thousand plastic eggs with jelly beans for their annual egg hunting event on March 24 at the Harpersfield Township Community Center on Cork Cold Springs Road.

The Ruritans also provide prizes and sponsor a visit from a very special Easter Bunny, but they are careful to let the littlest egg hunters have a fair shot at the prizes — breaking down the hunt into three age groups, with eight prizes per age group.

The event will begin at 12:30 p.m. sharp, rain or shine, and will be followed by a luncheon with the Easter Bunny, complete with face painting.

Parents should remember their cameras and children should bring their own basket or bag to gather eggs.

Eggs will be ripe for the hunting at Recreation Park in Geneva-on-the-Lake at 10 a.m. on March 30. The event is free, but bring your own basket. The annual egg hunt is sponsored by the Geneva-on-the-Lake Kiwanis. Recreation Park is located next to the GOTL Convention and Visitor’s Bureau on Lake Road.

The Geneva Kiwanis Club will host the annual Easter Bunny Pancake Breakfast on March 30 from 7 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Geneva Methodist Church. The Easter Bunny will be there. The event will include a Chinese auction and 50/50 raffle.

Children will be hot on the bunny trail for the 33rd annual egg hunt to be held at Kiwanis Park on Route 84 at 11 a.m. March 30. The event is free and will be held rain or shine, but bring your own basket.
