Ledgemont Booster Club hosts annual craft show

THOMPSON — The Ledgemont Booster Club offered the community a different arena for Christmas shopping with their annual craft show Sunday.

The craft show, held in the Ledgemont High School gymnasium, was from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and hosted 38 vendors.

Event coordinator, Bobbi Wagoner, said this was the sixth consecutive year for the craft show, though it had been held many years in the past until they ran out of volunteers to run it.

“Since we changed the date to the Sunday after Thanksgiving, it’s been getting better each year. We have a few more vendors each year,” she said. “We have wonderful crafters. Everyone is very supportive.”

Wagoner said the senior class cooked the food being sold at the craft show to raise money for their class trip. The funds raised by the craft show, which also featured a Chinese auction, benefit the Ledgemont Booster Club.

The cost for vendors was $25 for a single space, and $40 for a double space. A single space was approximately 10’ by 10,’ and a double space was approximately 10’ by 20.’

“The money goes to things that aren’t funded by the normal budget, such as gym mats,” she said. “As long as the school system is still here next year, we will have another craft show.”
