SAYBROOK TOWNSHIP —
Lakeside High School’s new football coach, Frank Hall, says community support is crucial to building a successful program.
“I have a deep devotion to this community,” said Hall, an Ashtabula native and 1992 graduate of Harbor High School.
Hall comes to Lakeside High School from Chardon High School , where the community, regardless if a child was playing, rallied behind their football team, he said.
“Friday nights were community nights. I want that for Lakeside,” Hall said. “I want that for this community. I want Friday nights to be something that brings us together and I'm going to work tirelessly until it does.”
To kick-off the 2013-14 football season, the community is invited to a Meet the Coach Night, starting at 7 p.m. March 26 at LHS. Attendees should enter through the event entrance. Everyone is welcome.
“ I want to meet community leaders, trustees and city council, business owners and residents,” Hall said. “I want to show them my plan and let them know I am mentoring and molding their future employees and neighbors.”
Hall said he’s always wanted to return to his hometown and coach football.
“I have big goals and expectations for these young men,” he said. “They're responding with great enthusiasm and it’s exciting to see it coming together. Now, I want the community to also be a part.”
