Giant Eagle is celebrating the remodeling of its Ashtabula store with in-store sampling, family entertainment and celebrity appearances today and Friday.
The Pittsburgh-based chain has added a new hot bar, salad bar and soup station, and an expanded beer and wine department at its grocery store at 2390 W. Prospect Road. It also expanded its produce, bakery, cheese and floral offerings.
Two Cleveland Browns players also will make appearances to help the store celebrate. Browns safety T.J. Ward will be at the store 6 to 7:30 tonight, and Browns linebacker James Michael-Johnson will visit the store from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Activities for families, such as clowns and musicians, will take place during the coming weeks.
