Conneaut motorist killed in Pa. crash

CONNEAUT TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Conneaut man was killed in a two-vehicle crash just after 9 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of routes 215 and 6N in Conneaut Township, Pa., according to news reports.

Pennsylvania State Police identified the victim as Thomas Pinkerton, 72, according to erietvnews.com.

Pinkerton was traveling west on Route 6N when he attempted a left turn onto Route 215. A second vehicle attempting to pass Pinkerton collided with the vehicle, police told the news agency. Pinkerton’s vehicle rolled over several times, ejecting Pinkerton. The vehicle wound up in a ditch, according to reports.

Pinkerton was pronounced dead at the scene, officials told erietvnews.com. The driver of the second vehicle, identified as Evelyn Kreider, 64, of Albion, Pa., as well as a passenger, were not hurt.

Police are still investigating, according to reports.
