MADISON TOWNSHIP — MADISON TOWNSHIP — Police say a heroin addiction drove a 36-year-old Madison Township man to burglarize six Lake County homes in the past several weeks.

Mitchell A. Gladding is now behind bars, charged with felony burglary and receiving stolen property, according to a Madison Township police news release.

Police have connected Gladding to two home burglaries in Madison Township, two in Madison Village, one in North Perry Village and one in Perry Township, according to a press release from Madison Township police.

Some of the stolen property has been recovered, police said.

Gladding's arraignment is scheduled for Monday in Painesville Municipal Court, a court official said Friday.

Madison Village police also assisted in the investigation and arrest.
