— Two passengers were ejected and the driver trapped in an early morning crash Sunday.

According to the chief of Plymouth Fire Department, Bill Strubbe, the accident happened on Plymouth Ridge Road near Sleepy Hollow. The vehicle failed to negotiate a turn and hit a utility pole.

“They wrapped the car right around it from the driver’s side,” said Strubbe. Two passengers were ejected from the rear window while the driver was trapped inside.

The driver was flown to Metro Health Hospital in Cleveland, and the other two passengers were taken to Ashtabula County Medical Center.
