Vet’s Day celebration set in Jefferson

JEFFERSON — The village will host its annual Veteran’s Day celebration Monday at 11 a.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial in the center if town.

This year’s speaker will be Joshua Inks, who served in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant aboard Destroyer U.S. Barry and Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. George Washington.

The Rev. Gregory Gifford, associate pastor of Eagleville Bible Church will serve as chaplain for the program. The Jefferson High School Band will perform and Scott Treen will play bagpipes.

Lunch will be provided for veterans and their dependents following the program at the Jefferson Community Center. The lunch is sponsored by the Jefferson Knights of Columbus.
