Ashtabula City Health Department now giving flu vaccines

ASHTABULA — Roll up your sleeves! It’s time again for your flu vaccine.

The Ashtabula City Health Department gives flu shots from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, or at one of our nine locations now through mid-October, health officials said.

At the clinics, Ashtabula residents will pay $20 for regular flu and nasal spray vaccines and $40 for high dose flu shots. Medicare Part B and Medicaid are accepted for payment for flu and pneumonia shots.

The pneumonia vaccine is available for seniors ages 65 and older.

The nasal spray is for people ages 2 to 49 years, who would prefer the nasal spray over the vaccine. A tetanus with pertussis booster is $10 (needed every 10 years).

Ohio’s influenza season typically lasts between January and March.

Below is a list of city health department sponsored clinics.
