44-year-old Ashtabula man killed in Pennsylvania crash

WASHINGTON, Pa. — An Ashtabula man was killed Tuesday while driving his semi-truck westbound on Interstate 80, according to Pennsylvania State Highway Patrol reports.

Marshall W. Sterba, 44, failed to stop prior to striking the rear of another semi-truck driven by James M. Gilchrist, 35, of Meadville, Pa., according to police reports.

Gilchrist was stopped in traffic when Sterba ran into the back of the truck with his truck, police said.

Gilchrist was moderately injured, police said.

Both men were wearing their seatbelts, police reports said.
