JEFFERSON — A 23-year-old woman faces numerous charges, including felonious assault, after she reportedly tried to stab her father during an argument Monday in a Kingsville Township house, according to the Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Office.

No one was hurt in the incident, which occurred at a Dibble Road residence, according to a report.

Deputies were contacted around 3:50 p.m. by the man’s wife about the attack. The suspect was found walking on Creamer Road, according to a report.

Initially, the younger woman got into an argument with her father’s 42-year-old wife over child care, deputies said. The older woman called her husband, who left work to return home and mediate the fight, deputies said.

At one point, the woman produced a knife and raised it over her head in a threatening manner, victims told deputies. The man kicked his daughter in the stomach, causing her to drop the knife, according to a report. She then left the house.

Deputies found a folding knife concealed in the house. The victims identified the blade as the one wielded by the woman, according to a report.
