RICHMOND TOWNSHIP —
Two people were treated for minor burns suffered during a house fire early Saturday morning, said Andover Assistant Fire chief Robert Vickery.
“We were called out at 4:30 a.m. for a residential structure fire,” he said.
“When we got there it was a little room and contents fire, but it went through the building and into the attic,” Vickery said. He said it took about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control.
“There was extensive damage by the time it was all said and done,” he said of the fire at 2642 Route 7.
Vickery said the two occupants of the house, a man and a woman, were taken to St. Joseph’s Emergency and Diagnostic Center in Andover for treatment by family members before firefighters arrived on the scene.
