County grand jury indicts 14 suspects

JEFFERSON —  Note: The indictment of a person by a grand jury or otherwise is an accusation only and that person is presumed innocent until proven guilty. All information is taken from Ashtabula County Common Pleas Court records.

The following people have been indicted by an Ashtabula County grand jury and are set for arraignment in Common Pleas Court.

n Justin J. Mayberry, 33, of 202 Main Road W., Conneaut, was indicted on two counts of arson and one count of assault on a peace officer following an April 25 incident at a Conneaut mobile home park.

n Jessica Lee, 25, of 109 Grove Drive, Ashtabula, was indicted on two counts of trafficking in heroin, one count of possession of criminal tools. The grand jury also ordered the forfeiture of an assault rifle and $174 in cash.

The trafficking incidents allegedly occurred on Feb. 29 and March 2 and involved . 3 grams and 1.4 grams of heroin.

n Evan R. Tobias, 27, of 6334 Austin Road, Ashtabula, was indicted on a charge of possession of cocaine (.1 grams) following a March 18 incident in Ashtabula.

n Randy Gonzales, 22, of 109 Grove Drive, Ashtabula, was indicted on two counts of trafficking in heroin stemming from February incidents in Ashtabula. He was also charged with possession of criminal tools and the grand jury approved a forfeiture of $174 and an assault rifle.

n Shaun D. Baker, 45, of 5734 Madison Ave., Ashtabula, was indicted on one count of possession of cocaine (.1grams), possession of criminal tools and one count of aggravated possession of drugs (oxycodone).

n Rhamaud L. Hull, 33, of 535 W. 41st St., Ashtabula, was indicted on one count of possession of drugs following a March 5 incident in Ashtabula Township. The grand jury also approved a forfeiture of $3,860.

n Randy D. Simmons, 28, of 1721 E. 30th St., Ashtabula, was indicted on one count of illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of methamphetamines following a Dec. 2 incident in Harpersfield Township.

n Billy Jo Shoenberger, 39, of 6436 Woodland Ave., Andover, was indicted on one count of aggravated possession of drugs involving .1 grams of methamphetamines following a March 2 incident in Plymouth Township.

n Dwayne Nicholson, 47, of 509 W. 41st St., Ashtabula, was indicted on one count of failure to comply following a March 2 incident in Ashtabula.

n Rufus J. Tyus, 22, of 31 W. Satin St., Jefferson, Brett M. Kelly, 21, of 6938 Gay Ave., Andover and Benjamin Beckwith, 21, of 3610 Sentinel Road, Andover were all indicted on one count of illegal possession of chemicals for the manufacturing of drugs and five counts of illegal manufacturing of methamphetamines following a March 11 incident.

n Kia M. Thomas, 20, of 551 Liberty St., Conneaut, was indicted on one count of aggravated possession of drugs following an April 18 incident in Conneaut involving .153 grams of methamphetamines.

n Adam A. Carson, was indicted on two counts of robbery, one count of theft and one count of petty theft following incidents during April and May in Austinburg Township involving more than $4,000.

    The Ohio State Highway Patrol Chardon Post is investigating a fatal accident between a car and a motorcycle that collided Saturday morning.
    Lee E. Mullins, 57, of Madison was traveling southbound on State Route 528, on a 2000 Suzuki motorcycle, approaching the intersection of St. Rt. 86, when a 2008 Ford Taurus driven by 36-year-old Kimberly J. Baney of Wampum, Pa. failed to yield at the stop sign entering the intersection.
