Deputies looking for Monroe flasher

JEFFERSON — Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Department deputies are looking for a man who exposed himself to a group of young girls in Monroe Township.

The incident occurred Sept. 11 on Middle Road. A 12-year-old girl told deputies she was walking with her four younger sisters, ages 6 to 10, when they observed a white minivan following them, according to reports.

The girl told deputies the male followed them for some time and then pulled off the side of the road and exited the van. He was reportedly wearing a black coat and when he pulled it back, she told deputies he was naked from the waist down, according to reports.

The girls reportedly ran home and told their parents what happened, reports show.

The suspect is described as being a heavy-set, white male in his 30s, driving an “older dirty” minivan, according to reports. No further description of the vehicle was given.

The girl told deputies she had never seen the suspect or the van in the area before, according to reports.

If anyone sees anyone fitting the description of the suspect, please contact ACSO at 440-576-0055. The incident is still under investigation.
