Ashtabula County commissioners approved amendments to the Title XX subgrant agreements with various county organizations in Tuesday’s regular session.
The amendments included changes to contracts with Ashtabula County Community Action Agency, Ashtabula County Regional Home Health Services, Catholic Charities of Ashtabula County and Lake Area Recovery Center.
The contract period with the ACCAA for home delivered meals was changed from Sept. 30 to Oct. 31 and funds for fiscal year 2013 were increased in the amount of $855.35. The total available funds for the contract period is now $18,264.14.
The contract period with ACCAA for information and referral services was also changed from Sept. 30 to Oct. 31. Funds for fiscal year 2013 were also increased in the amount of $250 with total available funds now being $3,000.
The contract period with Ashtabula Regional Home Health Services for nursing, personal care and homemaker services was changed from Sept. 30 to Oct. 31. Funds were also increased for the fiscal year in the amount of $1,08.92. The increase brings the total available funds to $19,307.
The contract period with Catholic Charities for guardianship services was changed from Sept. 30 to Oct. 31. Funds for the fiscal year were increased in the amount of $2,083.33. Total available funds is now $26,092.66.
The contract period with LARC for residential treatment services was also extended to Oct. 31. Funding was increased for the fiscal year in the amount of $374.75. Total available funds for the contract period is now $43,619.
In other business, commissioners approved:
• A resolution receiving proposals for the Ashtabula County Transportation System (ACTS). The proposals were from City Taxicab and Transfer Co. in Ashtabula, Community Bus Services, Inc. in Youngstown, Ride Right in St. Louis. Mo. and MV Transportation, Inc. in Vacaville, Calif. The proposals were tabled for further examination by the commissioners;
• A resolution approving a continuation participation agreement regarding the natural gas purchase program of the County Commissioners Association of Ohio Service Corporation Energy Solutions (CCAOSCES);
• A resolution approving a change order with Koski Construction, Inc. for 2013 resurfacing of various county roads. The change order is for additional materials, increasing the contract amount by $10,043.95; and,
• A resolution approving a contract with Jack Gibson Construction Company for the Coffee Creek Waste Water Treatment Plant improvement project in Austinburg Township. The project is being partially funded by Ohio Public Works Commission funds.
Commissioners also approved a number of financial transactions including various travel requests for county employees as well as payroll changes that reflect longevity increases for a number of county employees.
