Ashtabula man faces charges connected with juvenile rape

JEFFERSON — An Ashtabula man was arraigned Friday on charges connected with the rape of a juvenile.

Danny Davis II, of 1510 W. 29th St., was charged with two counts of rape, first-degree felonies; gross sexual imposition, a fourth-degree felony, and two counts of corrupting another with drugs,   fourth-degree felonies, court records show.

The incidents occurred between July and November of 2013, according to court records.

Davis was arrested Wednesday, records show.

Ashtabula County Common Pleas Judge Alfred Mackey set bail at $100,000 cash or surety 10 percent. If Davis makes bail, he is to have no contact with the victim.
