GENEVA — From iPads to iPods and Kindle Fires, what is that hottest holiday toy of 2012?

The Geneva Public Library will host an “interactive webinar” to help consumers sort through the overload of information in the constantly-changing world of technology, Ashtabula County District Library community relations coordinator Tom Milligan said

The Hottest Tech Toys for the Holiday Season program will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the library’s meeting room.

The program, produced by Learn Surge from Novare Library Services, a private business that provides library services including programming. The company is contracted by the Northeast Ohio Regional Library System and will conduct several similar webinars this fall, Milligan said.

“(The program) will explore tech gifts for ‘non-techies,’ geeks, teens, kids and more,” Milligan said. “Whether you're on a budget of have just inherited a small fortune, you’ll find the perfect gift for everyone on your list.”

Milligan said the question and answer based session will include the pro’s and con’s of some of the newest tech gadgets.

“People will be able to get an assessment of what will be a bust and what will be a must-have,” he said.

Anyone with a computer and internet connection can also participate in the webinar Geneva library coordinator Mary Stokes said.

“Just let us know when you register, and we’ll arrange to make sure you get the information you need to connect from your home or office,” she said.

The program is free, but registration in advance is required by calling 466-4521.
