Lots to do at Windows on Pairings

GENEVA — Some days are for warm breezes and full wine glasses in the open-air tasting room at Windows on Pairings. Other days are for learning, growing, producing, analyzing and tasting everything the local viticulture has to offer.

“This is our first summer here at Pairings and it is already very busy,” said Pairings director Catherine Sterle. “We have classes and events scheduled through July and plans to make the rest of the summer just as exciting.”

Classes at Pairings, located on Park Street, include tastings, dinners, cooking classes, art classes and a lot of wine tasting.

The July schedule includes:

July 11: How to Make Savory Salads with Christine Martello. Cost: $45. Learn to create salads with flair.

July 12: Cork and Canvas with Gina Sanzotta Monahan. Cost: $40. Learn to paint as you sip local vino.

July 17: Eating Healthy with Diabetes with Lori Slimmer. Cost: $45. Cook healthy meals for people with diabetes.

July 19: Shop with Chef Robin. Cost: $50. Shop local and cook with the freshest in-season ingredients.

July 19: Gluten Free Hands-on Kitchen with Christine Weese. Cost: $30. Learn to make gluten free bread.

July 20: Ohio Wine For Skeptics with Claudia Taller. Cost: $25. Taste the best of the region and become a believer.

July 23: Brunch with Laura. Cost: $45. Learn to cook favorite recipes from Chef Laura Bradek.

July 25: The Best of Tyme – a dinner to savor with Christine Martello. Cost: $60. How to grow, store, and cook with tyme.

July 26: Farm to Table with Ohio Wine Pairings with Lisa Delgado. Cost: $60. Enjoy three or four courses prepared with locally sourced ingredients and paired with Ohio wines.

July 30: How to Open a B&B with Andrea Fagnilli. Cost: $30. Learn what it takes to own and operate your own bed and breakfast.
