The Ashtabula County Chapter of the American Red Cross will hold its fourth annual Ride for the Red on July 27.
All proceeds from the event will support Red Cross services within Ashtabula County. The ride will begin and end at the Main Pavilion at Lake Shore Park, SR 531 Lake Road East, Ashtabula. While the ride is traditionally a motorcycle event, all vehicles are welcome to participate. The public is encouraged to attend and enjoy the festivities.
Registration opens at 9:30 a.m. with the first vehicle out about 10:30 a.m. The ride is coordinated and lead by the Concerned Motorcyclists Riding in Ohio Region 13.This group has a longstanding history of support of Ashtabula County Chapter of the Red Cross through this and other events.
The entry fee is only $15 for a single rider and $25 for dual riders (single bike). Participants are encouraged to register early. Registration forms are available from the American Red Cross of Ashtabula County at 433 Center St. in Ashtabula. Registration forms are also available on the chapter website www.redcross.org/oh/ ashtabula. A special Ride for the Red T-shirt will be given to the first 100 riders who pre-register for the event. Registrations will be accepted the morning of the ride.
The event’s entry fee includes picnic food and beverages.
Musical entertainment will be provided throughout the day.
Among the festivities will be a 50/50 drawing, as well as other prizes.
There will be more than a dozen vendors selling jewelry, make-up, chocolates, body wraps, greeting cards and more.
