JEFFERSON — Three school levies are among the issues and candidates that will appear on Ashtabula County primary election ballots on May 7.

Filing deadline at the Ashtabula County Board of Elections for issues and candidates was 4 p.m. Wednesday. Ashtabula’s charter gives candidates in that city until Feb. 21 to file petitions. The election board is expected to convene a meeting on Feb. 15 to verify the petitions, said Carol Lovas, director.
