Saturday morning crash kills area man

ASHTABULA TOWNSHIP — A Plymouth Township man was killed early Saturday morning when the car he was driving drove off the left side of Route 11 around 1:39 a.m., according to Ashtabula County Coroner’s Investigator Jim Baehr and an Ohio Highway Patrol press release.

Denver Lee Bramer Jr., 21, of Plymouth Township, was ejected from his vehicle and passenger Breanna N. Clay, 22, of Plymouth Township, was injured during the crash.

“The vehicle was southbound on Route 11 when it went off the left side of the road and hit the guardrail and continued back across Route 11 and basically stovepiped into the embankment (at the Route 84) intersection,” Baher said.

“Everything is preliminary. He was sent to Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy,” Baehr said. He said the autopsy was done Saturday, but results will likely not be available until Monday.

Baehr said he was on the scene for several hours and OHP was still on the scene when he left. He said Ashtabula Township fire and rescue crews responded to the call.

Clay was transported to ACMC and then to Cleveland Metrohealth Medical Center by ground transport where she was listed in stable condition Saturday evening, the OHP press release stated.
