AACS third-grade students learn about careers at Spire Institute

HARPERSFIELD TOWNSHIP — Through the efforts of Denise Miller, Ashtabula County's elementary career education coordinator, 300 third-grade students from the Ashtabula Lakeside Elementary Campus on Wade Avenue, traveled to the Spire Institute for a day centered around career goals and opportunities.

Students visited a variety of stations throughout the complex, learning about the many occupations involved in its daily operations.

In addition, students were able to “get physical” and exercise on the track area and volleyball courts.

Students learned the income possibilities with different careers and the educational background needed for each job.

The students learned first hand that hard work and dedication are key ingredients to success.
