Pre-trial hearings will be held July 15 for two Ashtabula brothers charged with robbing a Mahoning County bank last week, according to reports.
Christopher Eurich, 22, 5712 Gore Road, and Johnathon Eurich, 28, 2417 Highland Ave., are charged with taking cash from a bank in the community of Lake Milton, located in Milton Township. Both men are charged with robbery, while Christopher Eurich faces an additional charge of possession of criminal tools, according to on-line county court records.
The brothers were arraigned Monday afternoon before Mahoning County Area Court Judge David D’Apolito. Bond was set at $12,000 on the robbery charges and $1,250 on the possession charge, according to court records.
The robbery occurred shortly before 10 a.m. at the Farmers National Bank in Lake Milton, according to news reports. A man wearing makeup entered the bank and handed a teller a note that demanded money. No weapon was brandished and no one was injured.
After receiving some cash, the man entered a vehicle driven by another man and fled the scene, according to reports. Five minutes later, Lake Milton Police Chief Bob Schaeffer spotted the getaway vehicle on westbound Interstate 76 near Route 534, WKBN-TV reported last week.
Cash and other evidence was removed from the vehicle, Schaeffer told the television station.
Milton Township has seen two bank robberies in the past six months, Schaeffer said.
