CHARDON — An Ashtabula man was killed when a semi-truck struck three vehicles on Interstate 90 late Tuesday night in Lake County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
News reports identified the victim as Ronald Alleman, 40. Other occupants of the vehicles suffered minor injuries, according to a spokeswoman at the OHP post in Chardon.
The accident occurred shortly after 11 p.m., when a westbound semi-truck crossed the median and struck the vehicles near the Vrooman Road interchange. The freeway’s eastbound lanes were closed to traffic for six hours, the spokeswoman said.
The accident is still under investigation, the spokeswoman said.
