The Ashtabula County District Library is ready to fuel readers with plenty of chances to win $200 in free gasoline throughout September, library community relations coordinator Tom Milligan said.
“Everyone who checks out materials on an ACDL library card at Ashtabula Library, Geneva Library or the County Bookmobile in September will automatically be entered to win the $200 in gasoline,” Milligan said.
The contest is sponsored by the ACDL “Friends of the Library” groups, Milligan said.
The Geneva Library will hold an ice cream social from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday to kick off National Library Card Sign-up Month and its schedule of programs for kids, teens and adults.
“Everyone who borrows ACDL materials will have a chance to win,” he said.
Milligan said library cards are available anytime free of charge.
The Ashtabula Library will hold “The Extravaganza” Sept. 13 on the front lawn at West 44th Street from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring an inflatable bouncy-house, putt-putt golf, a duck pond with token prizes .
