JEFFERSON — Ashtabula County Recorder Judith Barta is getting an early holiday gift — an integrated land records system for her office costing $219,750.
County commissioners on Thursday approved the five-year lease for the hardware and software of the computer system.
The lease with Cott Systems Inc. of Worthington will be paid from the recorder’s micrographic fund, Barta said. Nine proposals were received by Barta, seeking a turnkey system provider for hardware/software creation of archival microfilm from scanned images.
Barta said the monthly payments will be $3,400 compared to the current program payments of $6,900 a month.
In other business, the commissioners awarded a $354,354.20 bid contract to Burton Scot Contractors, LLC of Burton for hot mix asphalt resurfacing of portions of State Road County Highway 25 G and Noble Road County Highway 9E. n Approved an agreement between Ashtabula County Sheriff William Johnson and South Central Ambulance District board for dispatching fees. The contract, to run from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30, 2011, will cost $12 per call.
