ASHTABULA — One may wonder what a Geneva man was thinking, like the commercial, “I’m thinking Arby’s,” when police were called Thursday to Arby’s on West Prospect Road.
Ashtabula police officer Tony Tulino was flagged down at 4:20 p.m. for a person who was passed out behind the steering wheel of his car, detective Sgt. Joseph Cellitti said.
The engine was running, the car was in “drive” and stopped precariously on the hill of the restaurant’s parking lot, he said.
The driver’s foot was on the brake, but he was unresponsive, police said. For safety, police officers boxed the car in with their vehicles and then busted out the driver’s side window to rouse the driver.
The driver, a 22-year-old Geneva man, was arrested and charged with driving under suspension, possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia, police said.
