JEFFERSON — Salvation Army Jefferson Service Unit will be sending seven children from low income families, ages 6 to 12, to North East Ohio SA Camp July 17-22.
Accompanied by a unit representative, children will be transported by bus to the camp located near Carrollton. The camp provides Bible school activities, various types of recreation, boating, hiking, arts and crafts. Staff includes a healthcare professional. Meals are provided under the federally-funded summer food service program for children.
Application forms must be filled out by parents and a medical examination by a doctor is necessary. Children will be accepted in the order a completed form is received. Dorset and Rock Creek zip code areas will be given first preference. Those that apply after the first seven applications are processed will be placed on a waiting list in the order received.
