JEFFERSON — Twelve people were arraigned Friday and entered pleas to various felony charges before Common Pleas Judge Gary Yost. The state was represented by County Prosecutor Thomas Sartini.
The following cases were assigned to Judge Ronald Vettel:
n Mary A. Smith, 39, of 228 Progress Place, Ashtabula, pleaded not guilty to one count of robbery. The court appointed public defender Marie Lane as defense counsel. A $30,000 personal recognizance bond was continued by Yost.
n Zachary Disien, 19, of Delmont, Pa., pleaded not guilty to 36 counts of breaking and entering. He was represented by attorney David Per Due. A $15,000 personal recognizance bond was set by the court. Disien was ordered to reside pending trial with his parents in Pennsylvania.
n Cy Gawlikowski, 51, of 7291 Poore Road, Conneaut, pleaded not guilty to one count of possession of crack cocaine. A $7,500 personal recognizance bond was continued. The court appointed public defender Dean Topalof as defense counsel.
n Thomas J. Ennis, 47, of 5829 Dunbar Ave., Ashtabula, pleaded not guilty to charges of trafficking in drugs (marijuana) with specification; illegal manufacture of drugs or cultivation of marijuana; possessing criminal tools; possession of drugs (marijuana); and possession of drugs (hashish). A previously posted bond of $10,000 with 10 percent rule was continued. Ennis was represented by attorney William Bobulsky.
The following cases were assigned to Judge Alfred Mackey:
n Christopher Freeman, 19, of 6133 Jefferson Road, Ashtabula, pleaded not guilty to a charge of passing bad checks. The court appointed Lane as defense counsel. A $5,000 cash or surety bond was continued.
n Jonathan C. Rea, of 2559 Barnum Road, Geneva, pleaded not guilty to charges of possession of drugs and possession of criminal tools. The court appointed attorney Rebecca Hall as defense counsel. A $5,000 cash or surety bond was continued.
n Jordan K. Rea, 21, of 2559 Barnum Road, Geneva, pleaded not guilty to charges of possession of drugs and criminal tools. The court appointed public defender Richard Danolfo as defense counsel. A $5,000 cash, surety or 10 percent deposit bond was continued.
n Jerry McElroy Sr., 39, of 6800 Lake Road, Geneva, pleaded not guilty to a charge of domestic violence. A $10,000 personal recognizance bond is continue with the order to have no contact with the victim. The judge appointed public defender Richard Danolfo as defense counsel.
n Tiffany A. Shrewsbury, 26, of 4110 Cleveland Ave., Apt. 1, Ashtabula, pleaded not guilty to three counts of misuse of credit cards and one count of receiving stolen property. The judge appointed attorney Jason Fairchild as defense counsel. The bond was modified to $15,000 cash or surety. Shrewsbury is currently incarcerated in county jail on other charges.
The following cases were assigned to Judge Gary Yost:
n Jasmine L. Mollick, 23, of 4215 Birchwood Ave., Ashtabula, pleaded not guilty to charges of misuse of credit cards and receiving stolen property. The court appointed attorney Dennis M. Reid as defense counsel. A $15,000 personal recognizance bond was set.
n Ronald W. Milam, 26, of 1726 W. 6th St., Ashtabula, pleaded not guilty to two counts of aggravated murder; two counts of murder; one count of felonious assault; and one count of aggravated robbery. The court appointed public defenderTopalof as defense counsel. The judge modified the defendant’s bond to $50,000 cash or surety. Milam is currently incarcerated on other charges.
