JEFFERSON — Ashtabula County is seeking bids for companies to transport residents to health and employment-related services.
On Tuesday, the board approved the request from Patrick Arcaro, director of the county’s Department of Job and Family Services.
All bids must be received from transportation companies by 3:30 p.m. May 30. Information on the type of services needed can be found on the county’s Web site (http://commissioners.co.ashtabula.oh.us). The transportation is for health-care appointments, employment, school, day care facilities or other locations for eligible residents, officials said.
The county commissioners approved $3,392 in additional funds for the Celebrate Horizons after-school programs with After-School Discovery Inc. The funds come from the county’s Senior Services levy and is used for summer youth programs.
The commissioners also approved an increase of $400 to the county’s existing contract of $29,200 with CompManagement Inc. of Dublin. The firm serves as third-party administrator overseeing claims made to Ashtabula County’s Workers’ Compensation risk program. Original amount of the contract was $28,000, with an increase of $1,200 made last year.
