SAYBROOK TOWNSHIP — The Ashtabula Area City School Board of Education made several personnel decisions at its March 19 regular meeting.
The board hired:
* Patrick Colucci, assistant superintendent, three-year contract, effective Aug. 1, 2008, through July 31, 2011. Salary $89,008.
* Valerie Harper, principal, three-year contract, effective Aug. 1, 2008, through July 31, 2011. Salary $73,806.
* Lori Riley, principal, three-year contract, effective Aug. 1, 2008, through July 31, 2011. Salary $80,487.
* Marianne Hornbeck, technology coordinator, three-year contract, effective Aug. 1, 2008, through July 31, 2011. Salary $40,207.
* Sean Allgood, attendance/enrollment officer, one-year contract, effective Aug. 1, 2008, through July 31, 2009. Salary $36,469.
* Laura Haines, special education intervention specialist tutor, Chestnut Elementary School; effective March 20, 2008. Seven hours per day. $17.92 per hour.
The school board also accepted the retirements of Lakeside High School math teacher Elizabeth Capitena, who has been with the district since the 1972/73 school year, and speech therapist, Ann Serzynski, who has been with the district since 1978.
David Dewey was hired as assistant girl’s track coach and Theresa Stopek was hired as the assistant boy’s track coach at Lakeside High School.
