ASHTABULA- A West 14th Street man told police his 1997 Dodge Caravan was damaged Tuesday morning when he drove over a series of potholes on his street. Police contacted the city manager's office.
- The animal control officer responded to a call Tuesday morning about an animal at large in the 900 block of East 18th Street.
- A Circle K employee said a shoplifter fled the Lake Avenue store at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday in a red vehicle.
- A West 29th Street resident said a neighbor threatened her with a gun on Tuesday.
- Money was stolen Tuesday from a home in the 900 block of Thayer Avenue.
- A woman reported harassing phone calls Tuesday at her home in the 800 block of East 15th Street.
- Police were called to the Ashtabula Public Library, 335 W. 44th St., shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday because the librarians were having problems with a group of juveniles.
- Two teen-age boys pulled a knife on a local attorney at 9 p.m. Tuesday as he stood outside the Duke and Duchess gas station/convenient store, 1415 Lake Ave. in the Ashtabula harbor.
The attorney said he shouted a profanity at the teens, who then ran into the woods behind the store, off West 14th Street. No one was injured.
- A Chestnut Street man said Tuesday night that his home was entered while he was out.
- At 12:52 a.m. Wednesday, a neighbor reported a group of children used their fists to beat on a vehicle parked in the 800 block of Richards Avenue. When police arrived, they discovered the car was dented and the taillights broken out.
- A disturbance was reported at 2:48 a.m. Wednesday in the 2300 block of Ohio Avenue Extension.
- The Samaritan House reported a trespasser at about noon Wednesday. He was arrested and charged for two counts of trespassing and obstructing official business.
- A couple was yelling at each other at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of Burroughs Place.
- A Woodman Avenue man said his daughter was assaulted Wednesday on the school bus Wednesday afternoon.
