Threat prompts officials to lock-down Madison High School
Star Beacon
MADISON — The high school was locked down for 45 minutes Friday after officials received a threat to the school.
The lock-down began at about 9:45 a.m. after administrators became aware of a possible threat to students and staff at Madison High School.
In a statement from Madison Local School District Superintendent James. J. Herrholtz, he said, “Today we had an unverified threat to Madison High School. Safety forces including the Madison Township Police Department and the Madison Joint Fire District were dispatched. Both Chief Leonard DelCalzo of the Madison Township Police Department and Chief Walter Zilke of the Madison Joint Fire District were on the scene.”
The building was checked and each classroom searched. There was no substantiation of the threat found, Herrholtz said.
