GENEVA — City Council sent an $8 million wish list to the Ashtabula County Commissioners, City Manager Jim Pearson said, hoping the city will benefit from the $146 million countywide proposal to capitalize on a possible federal stimulus package.
Pearson discussed the list at the regular council meeting Monday.

On the city’s wish list is the $475,000 repair of the Chestnut Street bridge and repaving; the $450,000 Sherman Street paving and reconstruction; $240,000 in repairs to Van Epps Street; $450,000 for the paving and reconstruction of North Eagle Street; $2.5 million for Cowles Creek storm sewer repairs; and $3 million for the Wastewater Treatment Plan equalization basin.
Pearson said the list is meant to help guide the commissioners in the quest for federal funding for capital improvements.”
