KINGSVILLE TOWNSHIP —
Clara M. Gill, age 94, of Saybrook Landing, and previously had lived for nine years at Serenity Suites in Ashtabula, Ohio, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born Feb. 16, 1920, in Kingsville, Ohio, she was the daughter of Erwin and Gladys (Snow) Johnson and has been a lifetime area resident. She attended Kingsville Schools.
She had worked for Dunne Rubber Company.
She and her husband, Adelbert, were very active in the VFW Post #943 and she was a life member of the VFW Post #943 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, yard work and she loved music.
Surviving her is her sister, Emily Taylor of Ashtabula; three sisters-in-law, Beverly (Donald) Stasko, Mabelle A. Perry and Joan Gill, all of Ashtabula.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Adelbert on Jan. 17, 2000; two brothers, Howard Erwin Johnson and Charles Johnson; and two sisters, Ruby Souls and Mary Barrie.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Today, Friday, June 13th, at the Ashtabula Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS & CREMATORY, INC., 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with Alisa Nierzejewski, Certified Celebrant, officiating. Burial will be in Saybrook Cemetery.
Calling Hour will be Today from 10 a.m. until the time of Service at the Funeral Home.
